Internally near VG, with a few spots of foxing; board corners worn. Vol.1: hinges repaired with clear adhesive film, spine worn with loss at head & foot. Vol.2: in a bad state, with flaking & loss to edge of first & last few pages, hinges badly repaired with clear adhesive film, with sellotape in gutter of last pages; loss to spine, with remainaing part badly repaired with clear tape. Vol.3: hinges cracked & neatly repaired; small gouge in edge of front board; minor loss at head & foot of spine. Vol.4: spine worn, with minor loss at head & foot; auctioneer's lotting label on front board. Vol.5: hinges cracked & repaired; spine worn at head & foot. Gilt on spines dull & worn. This is a very heavy set (about 18kgs packed); additional postage may be required. Would benefit from restoration. Photo:.
