Description: Alston Rivers, London, 1905. 1st Edition. Hardcover. First Edition (first printing). 8vo. 175pp. Gilt lettered and decorated buckram with a double blind border to the upper board. Top edge gilt, others untrimmed. The buckram faded at the backstrip, and a little marked and chafed in places. Endpapers browned. Some spotting to protruding fore edges, and a little further quite light spotting to the first half a dozen leaves, and to a few rear margins. Contemporary (1912) former owner details inked to the half title, and with a blank decorative plate to the front pastedown, which would appear to be obscuring a second plate. A nice bright copy.
