All edges gilt. Binding slightly cocked and covers just a little marked and handled in places. Quite a good, bright copy. The front panel and flap of the attractive McKnight Kauffer-designed dust wrapper has been tipped-in to the front endpapers. Betjeman's fifth book, and second collection of verse, comprising thirty-three poems, eighteen of which appear here in bookform for the first time. The author's note includes a deliberate error, thanking "Mr. C.S.Lewis for the fact on page 256" (the volume runs to only 45 pages). Peterson A5. Good/Poor.
