A treat for the collector of oriental photography. Teijiro Takagi is known for his glass slides and many collotype books on themes of Japanese life. His collection of 24 collotype plates depicts a variety of recreational activities of young women of Japan in early 20th century, including aspects of children's games, and also ceremonies of a Japanese Marriage. Each photograph accompanied by short descriptive text. Illustrated title page. Hand-colored collotype photographs in grey raw silk boards- some wear, tear, soiling to covers, spine, ends & corners. Front board has a fold mark.  Inside pages are near fine, binding tight and intact, cloth smooth and supple to touch. Very Good.
