He attended flight training and served from 1944-1946 (training at Ft Dix, NJ, Fort McClellan, Alabama, and Tuskegee, Alabama). Mr. Hinton finished his degree at Howard University upon returning home, earning a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering; his career included working on Radio Systems for the Gemini and Apollo projects.
