Covers with large gilt designs, spine with five raised bands, lettered in gilt in compartments, gilt board edges and turn-ins, top edge gilt. Rebacked with original spine laid down. The two plates were colored at a later date. The novel appeared in Roscoe's Novelist's Library, of which it forms the second part of volume X. .
