"Walt Whitman Fellowship Papers: Second Year: 9. Philadelphia, November, 1895". An adventurer in his youth, Richard Maurice Bucke (1837-1902) was a Canadian psychiatrist. He was the head of Ontario's provincial Asylum for the Insane in London, Ontario and was a friend of significant men of letters throughout the U.S. Canada and Great Britain. He wrote numerous professional articles and was the author of "Man's Moral Nature", "Walt Whitman" (a biography of the poet), and "Cosmic Consciousness: A Study in the Evolution of the Human Mind". Very good .
