Hardcover, bound in dark blue cloth titled in gilt on the front cover decorated with an eagle and the 13 star flag in gilt. The corners of the covers and the head & tail of the spine are bumped. The binding is lightly shaken. 82 pages, with 10 leaves of illustrations including portraits and music, 4 folding leaves of group portraits & [20] pages of advertising. There are also profuse textual illustrations throughout including photographs and cartoons. Very good. First edition. Among the personal narratives are: The Marne Campaign of June and July 1918, by Captain Frank L. Culin, Jr; The Spirit of France, by Julien H. Bryan; The Cloud Burst, by Egmont Westy Ruschke; Impressions of France in a War Hospital, by George McLean Harper; The Peaceful Adventures of a Candidate (In the Battle of Camp Lee) by Russel Frazier.
