Among the articles in this issue are the famous review by Susan Sontag of "Notebooks, 1935-42" by Albert Camus entitled "The Ideal Husband", Saul Bellow's review of an autobiography by Yevtushenko, Malcolm Muggeridge on "Unarmed Victory" by Bertrand Russell, R.P Blackmur on a book about Henry James. William Styron writes on "American Negro Slave Revolts" by Herbert Aptheker. A highlight of this issue is Elizabeth Hardwick's parody of "The Group" by Mary McCarthy. It is titled "The Gang" and is written under her pseudonym Xavier Prynne. Two poems by Randall Jarell are published in this issue: "The X-Ray Waiting Room in the Hospital" and "The Love for One Orange". Very good .
