Hardcover, bound in full maroon morocco by Francisque Cuzin and Leon Maillard, Cuzin signing at the foot of the front doublure and Maillard signing at the foot of the rear doublure. The book is titled in gilt between raised bands on the spine and all edges are gilt. The binding is further enhanced by gilt inner dentelles. The top of the joints are rubbed. xii, pages 1-304 & [4], illustrated with 4 fine plates engraved by Jean Sauve after drawings by Pierre Brissart. The book is additionally decorated with head & tail pieces and occasional engraved initials. Near fine. Volume 1 of the first edition of the illustrated collected works of Moliere. Very good .
