Description: - Jan Struther's autograph boldly penned on a 3-1/8 inch high by 4-5/8 inch wide slip of paper. Signed in full "Jan Struther". There is a vertical crease along the left of the signature. There is faint evidence of slight rubbing to the verso from having once been mounted. Very good.

Best remembered for her character "Mrs. Miniver", Jan Struther (1901-1953) was the pen name of Joyce Anstruther (later Joyce Maxtone Graham, and then Joyce Placzek). In addition to her character Mrs. Miniver, she is aslo remembered as the author of several hymns including "Lord of All Hopefulness". Very good .
