Putnam's autograph penned on a 2 inch high by 4-1/4 inch wide piece of paper clipped from a daily birthday book calendar with the date "January 10" printed in red along the top. Signed in full "Alfred P. Putnam" with the date June 16, 1886 penned at the bottom. Several lines from an inspirational poem are printed in black on the verso. Near fine.
Born on January 10, 1827, the American Unitarian minister Alfred P. Putnam (1827-1906) was the author of "Singers and Songs of the Liberal Faith" which included almost all of the hymns by American Unitarian authors up to 1870 with biographical sketches. Fine .
