Hardcover, bound in tan cloth backed with an olive cloth spine, with a color pictorial label illustrated by Louis Wain on the front cover. The covers are rubbed and soiled. The corners are bumped with minor wear to the cloth and the edges are darkened. [36] unnumbered pages, illustrated with pictorial endpapers, a color illustration as half-title, a full-page color frontispiece, title page vignette, a full-page black & white illustration and 33 full-page color illustrations by Louis Wain. The text block is cracked and there is some light scattered foxing. There is a child's minor crayon scribbling to 3 of the illustrations ("U", "W", and the illustration to "This is a Gardener") and to the rear pastedown. Good. Good .
