Hardcover, bound in color pictorial boards with an illustration of three cats popping out from a ceramic pickle jar on the front cover and with black & white pictorial ads on the rear cover. The tail of the spine is heavily bumped & chipped with a piece out and a long tear along the bottom of the spine. There is a tear to the paper at the bottom of the rear cover. [32] unnumbered pages, including the illustrations and text printed on the inside panels of the covers and the color frontispiece plate with its blank verso. The title page and text are further illustrated with black & white vignettes and 8 color tinted illustrations by Louis Wain. The hinges are cracked and the pages slightly darkened. Good.
