Description: [New York]: [Arthur H. Harlow], 1919. 1919. - An original 10-1/8 inch high by 7-3/16 inch wide wood engraving by Timothy Cole on 16-5/6 inch high by 12 inch wide Japan paper. The bold image depicts Abraham Lincoln, in three-quarter profile, seated in a sturdy chair. Attired in a dark three-piece suit and long coat with a white shirt and bow tie, the President's arm rests on a cloth covered table next to his top hat. Boldly signed "Timothy Cole" in pencil in the margin below his engraving and also signed in print "T COLE Sc 1919" within the image. There is a tiny hole to the bottom left of the lower margin. The engraving is handsomely matted and framed and has not been viewed out of the frame. Very good .
