"Illustrated with over 90 remarkable plates, 50 in radiant color. This lovely volume tells and shows how Chagall rose to the challenge of transforming the blank walls and floors of the State Reception Hall of the Knesset and produced some of the most beautiful original works in modern art. Chagall also envisioned the synagogue of the Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical Center as 'a crown offered to the Jewish Queen,' the windows as jewels of translucent fire." - from the dust wrapper copy. Very good .
