This volume includes the programs for 24 concerts from October 10, 1913 through May 2, 1914 with historical and descriptive notes throughout by Philip Hale. The volume includes 19 pages of highly useful indexes and summaries at the end. Karl Muck was music director. Among the soloists featured in these concerts were pianists Harold Bauer, Teresa Carreno, Ruth Deyo, Josef Hofmann and Ignace Jan Paderewski. Singers included Elisabeth van Endert, Geraldine Farrar and Louise Homer. Violinists who performed as soloists included Carl Flesch, Sylvain Noak, Anton Witek and Fritz Kreisler. Other soloists included cellist Heinrich Warnke, flutist Andre Maquarre and harpist Alfred Holy. On March 7 Otto Urack conducted the World Premiere of his Symphony No. 1 in E. Good .
