Description: Philadelphia: Printed by J.R.A. Skerrett, 1827. 1827. - Octavo, 8-3/4 inches high by 5-5/8 inches wide. Unbound, removed in the distant past from a larger collection of bound pamphlets. The darkened and foxed cover title page is detached. 56 pages. There is dampstaining to the top front corner of most of the pages with some occasional foxing. There are stab marks along the inner edge of the pages and several of the signatures (group of pages) are pulled and likely to come loose. A good complete copy.

This work was first published by Packard and Van Benthuysen in 1825 in an edition with only 39 pages. That edition's title began with the word "Memoir" instead of "Essay". Good .
