Description: - An 11-1/8 inch high by 8 inch wide page removed from a program, signed in pencil by Gracie Fields next to her name. A pictorial ad for Jack Hylton's recordings is printed on the verso. Very good.

Here identified as a "Comedienne", Gracie Fields performed Harris Weston's "Our Avenue", Irving Berlin's "Because I Love You" and Rapee & Pollack's "Charmaine".

Born Grace Stanfield, Dame Gracie Fields (1898-1979) was a British actress, singer, comedian and cinema and music hall star. She was one of the top 10 film stars in Britain in the 1930's and had the distinction of being the highest paid film star in the world in 1937. She was appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE), an Officer of the Venerable Order of St John (OStJ) and a Dame Commander of the British Empire (DBE). Very good .
