Ambrose Applejohn and his ward Poppy live in an extravagant old mansion. Applejohn longs for a life of adventure when Madame Anna Valeska, played by Kay Strozzi, knocks on his mansion's door seeking shelter from the storm and supposedly also refuge from a violent man, Ivan Borolsky. However, it turns out that Madame Valeska is in cahoots with Borolsky as they seek an old pirate's treasure which was meant to be hidden in the home by one of Applejohn's ancestors. Very good .
