(1946). - An 10-1/8 inch high by 8-1/4 inch wide glossy black & white vintage photograph depicting Betty Hutton on a settee with her ventriloquist's dummy. Both the dummy and the Hollywood actress are attired in identical checkered skirts. The number "11400/126" is printed in white within a black rectangle along the bottom right of the lower margin, with Paramount's credits along the bottom edge. There is minor creasing to the bottom. Three holes are punched along the left edge of the photo. Very good.
This a vintage publicity photo, not a reproduction, sent out to newspapers and periodicals of the period. Text from a printed press release tipped onto the verso reads: "Throws Famous Voice -- Betty Hutton turns ventriloquist for one of her four John Burke James-Van Housen songs in Paramount's 'Cross My Heart.' The number, sung in night club surrounding, is 'Lov Is the Darndest Thing.'. Very good .
