Description: Hollywood, 20th Century-Fox Player (1940's). (1940's). - A 10-1/4 inch high by 8 inch wide black & white vintage glossy photograph depicting the young Jennifer Jones from the waist up. Attired in a rose decorated white crochet blouse, the curly haired actress leans forth with her chin resting on her hand. The number "6739" is printed in white within a dark rectangle at the right of the bottom margin. "Jennifer Jones - 20th Century-Fox Player" is printed along the bottom margin. There is minor creasing to the bottom left corner and three holes have been punched along the left edge. Very good.

The Hollywood star Jennifer Jones (1919-2009) was nominated five times for the Academy Awards, winning for her role in the 1944 film "The Song of Bernadette". Jones married film producer David O. Selznick in 1949 and starred in such feature films as "Ruby Gentry", "Beat The Devil", "Madame Bovary", "Love is a Many-Splendored Thing" and De Sica's "Terminal Station". Suffering from mental health illness, Jones attempted suicide in 1966 and, after her own daughter's suicide in 1976, she became an strong advocate for mental health causes and founded the Jennifer Jones Simon Foundation for Mental Health and Education.
