Description: 11, Woolstone Road, Calford, London. - Over 25 words penned on 6-3/8 inch high by 4-1/2 inch wide buff paper. Bourne writes "I recd the note of Rand this morning duly signed, and have pleasure in at once forwarding it." Signed "F.W. Bourne". Slightly soiled and folded for mailing with evidence of glue stains to the top edge of the verso. Good.
The English preacher and author Frederick William Bourne (1830-1905) was born at Woodchurch Kent. He joined the Bible Christian Movement as a preacher and became editor of the "Bible Christian Magazine". Bourne wrote several books, including "The Kings Son - a memoir of Billy Bray", "The Centenary Life of James Thorne of Shebbear", and "The Bible Christians: Their Origin and History". Good .
