Thomas Augustine Day [1871-1948] was an Irish-American poet commonly referred to as T. A. Daly. A very popular author, he mainly wrote poetry but also contributed many articles to newspapers and magazines. In addition, he made a good living as a lecturer and after-dinner speaker, often reciting his own poetry to receptive audiences. His style was usually humorous and he wrote in a curious mixture of mock Italian-American and Irish-American dialect. Very good .
