National Museum of Canada's guide to the Anthropological Exhibits. Leaflet 3, 1938.
Eight tribes shared the basin of Mackenzie River: Chipewyan, Beaver, Sekani, Slave, Yellowknife, Dogrib, Hare and Nathani. Some scholars believe the Mackenzie River natives to be the last people to migrate from Asia into America, arriving not many centuries before the Christian era. At the time of this publication the territory's population was only about 4,000. Very good .
