[1920s]. - The upper half of a 4-sided piece of letterhead, 3-1/4 inches high by 5 inches wide, with her name & address printed at the top is signed in black ink "Margaret Widdemer". The paper is partially darkened with some very light dampstaining along the bottom edge, just touching on the autograph. 2 small pieces of tape adhere to the verso where the autograph has been removed from an album. Good.

Margaret Widdemer [1884-1978] was an American poet and novelist. She won the Pulitzer Prize [then known as the Columbia University Prize] in 1919 for her collection "The Old Road to Paradise", shared with Carl Sandburg for "Cornhuskers". She first came to public attention with her poem "The Factories" which dealt with the subject of child labor. Good .
