Laid in are a compliment slip from the St. Petersburg Museum of Fine Arts and one-page autograph letter from Sidney Laufman to artist Carolyn Haeberlin Wilson, wife of Reginald Wilson. The letter, dated November 14th 1984 and signed "Love and kisses / Sidney", profusely thanks Carolyn Haeberlin for an affectionate and flattering letter. "I hope you and Reggie keep well and that the work goes well too." Together with the mailing envelope addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Reginald Wilson.
Reginald Wilson [b. 1909] trained at the Art Students League of New York, studying with John Stuart Currie among others. He and Carolyn Haeberlin were married in 1942, moving to a 200-year-old farmhouse in 1945. Wilson's paintings and works in other media were exhibited widely beginning in the 1940s in New York City and in major museums and universities and galleries across the country, including the gallery of the Woodstock Artists Association. Very good .
