This collection includes passages from his memoirs of the Lost Generation, "Exile's Return" and "The Dream of the Golden Mountains"; critical essays on Hawthorne, Whitman, Fitzgerald, Hart Crane and Thomas Wolfe; more than twenty poems from "Blue Juniata"; and selected correspondence from Cowley to Hemingway, William Faulkner, Edmund Wilson and others.
