The leather is rubbed & scuffed, The spine is darkened with a small piece out & with the label partially rubbed away, not affecting the titling. The covers are bumped with some small black stains & marks. xi & pages 3-674. The pastedowns & endpapers are foxed & darkened with scattered foxing elsewhere in the volume. A number of rear bottom page corners are bumped. Good.

First edition.

The cases covered run from December 1828 to August 1829.

Originally from the library of Dutchess County, NY lawyer Stephen Eno with his signature & the date November 4, 1829 on the front endpaper and his ink notes on the rear blank, endpaper and pastedown. Notes in the text were possibly made by a later owner whose signature with a 1938 date also appear on the front endpaper. Good .
