It was organized by the Brattleboro Museum and Art Center and was shown there from October 18 to December 8, 1985. The exhibition resulted from an exploration of artists using new materials or treating conventional materials in new ways. "Non-craft artists" worked with assistance from craft artists at The Fabric Workshop, The New York Experimental Glass Workshop, Bennington Potters, Clayworks and other such venues.
