Title: Decisive Battles of the U.S. A.
Description: NY: Thomas Yoseloff, Inc. (1942). (1942). - Octavo, brown cloth (lightly bumped; light stain to front cover; spine faded). xi & 416 pp. Illustrated with B&W maps & plans. Very good internally.

From the library of bibliophile and pressman Fridolf Johnson with his "Military Books" bookplate mounted on the front pastedown & with his pencil signature on the front endpaper.

The author writes in his Preface: "..It occurred to me, when the present Anglo-German conflict arose, that it might be of interest to Americans--civilians as well as sailors, soldiers, and airmen--to have presented to them in a single volume a history of their past wars, not only because these struggles have made the U.S.A. what they are, but also because, in my opinion, it is war above all other activities which will make them what they will become.." The battles studied run from the War of Independence through the First World War. Very good .
