Description: London: George Allen, 1899. 1899. - Quarto, 9-3/4 inches high by 7-1/2 inches wide. Light blue cloth titled in gilt on the front cover & the spine with a blue & white illustration of a camel's head mounted on the front cover. The top edge is gilt. The covers are rubbed, the spine darkened with a large 3 inch portion of the cloth lacking from the bottom of the spine. xvii, [i] & 333 pages, illustrated with 4 color plates, 20 black & white plates and profuse textual illustrations. Ex-library, withdrawn and discarded by the Tivoli Public Library, with their stamp on the front pastedown, the word "discard" in red crayon on the front endpaper, a brown numbered slip on the rear pastedown and the remnants of a label on the rear endpaper. Despite its flaws, a good tight copy.
