The inscription refers to the Maverick Art Colony in Woodstock, N.Y. among whose writers, painters and musicians Robinson grew up. The novel is about an art colony threatened by business executives and politicians who want to turn it into an industrial park. The author is the son of Henry Morton Robinson, author of "The Cardinal". Fine .
