Inscribed by the author to Woodstock artist Reginald Wilson and his wife: "For Carolyn and Reggie -- in deep and warm friendship over these many years -- from those early Maverick days to now. 12/18/68 Tony". The inscription refers to the Maverick Art Colony in Woodstock, N.Y. among whose writers, painters and musicians Robinson grew up. The novel is about an art colony threatened by business executives and politicians who want to turn it into an industrial park. The author is the son of Henry Morton Robinson, author of "The Cardinal". Fine .
