Refregier writes to progressive educator Harold Rugg about a proposed visit to Columbia University to talk about his work: "I am planning to bring along color slides of my easle [sic] paintings and murals and a 16 mm film of the San Francisco murals. Naturally, I would like to share my experiences, such as the work in architecture, and, perhaps, there could be some possibility of arranging an informal evening at the University or some other place." He also writes about his interest in Puerto Rican art and his plan to visit Puerto Rico.
