Cowan writes to Norman Kent, editor of American Artist, enclosing a photograph of his recent portrait of Zsa Zsa Gabor. "Since the beginning of magazines, lovely women gracing their covers have added to their circulation..Your art news section might consider this painting of interest.."
Ralph Wolfe Cowan [b.1931] is an American portrait painter. He is the last of a dying breed -- the painter of kings. He has painted more reigning monarchs than any other artist in history. He titled his portrait "The Visionary". Good .
