The rubbed, scuffed and stained covers are warped. The corners are slightly worn and there is minor damage to the front edge of the rear cover. 240 pages, illustrated with an engraved frontispiece by William Rollinson. The frontispiece and title pages are nearly detached. The pages are toned and darkened with foxing throughout. Several signatures (i.e. groups of pages) are lightly pulled. Several page corners are creased and there is a tear to page 219 with loss the of 4 or 5 letters. A fair complete copy.
