The label & vignette are faded & the bottom right corner of the label is chipped. [6] leaves, [iii], 70 & [3] pages. Pictorial title, 1 plate & decorations in black & white. There is occasional light soiling & 1 page is loose. Good.
The poems celebrate the solitary idealist and nonconformist who may not achieve his dreams, but leads the way for others, as in "Self-Slain": "Brother, you were not mad, / As some men say who chart their way with rules; / For you were ever glad, / Searcher of light, scorner of pride-bound schools.."
