Inscribed by the author on the front endpaper to "Walter Gibson - Master of the pulps". Walter B. Gibson [1897-1985], author and professional magician, was best known for his work on "The Shadow". Under the pseudonym Maxwell Grant, he wrote "Shadow" stories at an amazing rate to satisfy public demand during the the character's golden age in the 1930s and '40s. Very good .
