There is an area of dampstaining to the bottom edge of each cover with a small stain to the bottom edge of the dust jacket rear panel internally. Unpaginated. Profuse full-page color illustrations after watercolors by Charles R. Murphy. The contents & dust wrapper are near fine. Very good.

Inscribed by the author, a gifted thirteen-year-old girl with learning disabilities when she wrote this book which was published 3 years later: "To ...'Never Give up / Dreams can come true!' / Love / Samantha Abeel". Included in the rear are two poems by Abeel and a recounting of her difficulties and remarkable success by her mother and her teacher. Very good .
