Description: Berlin: Franz Lipperheide, 1883. 1883. - Small quarto, 7-5/8 inches high by 7-5/8 inches wide. Gray pictorial cloth titled in red & black with a colored illustration on the front cover. The covers are rubbed bumped & soiled with light stains. There is wear to the corners and to the head and tail of the darkened spine. 28 & [1] pages, with pages 5 through 29 printed on one side only. Profusely illustrated with stencil hand-colored pictorial title, vignettes & illustrations surrounding the text on each leaf. The front endpaper is detached with a contemporary owner's inscription on the verso. There is a very light ink notation along the top of the flyleaf & an ink notation along the top of the title. The page edges are slightly darkened with occasional light soiling. Good.
