There is dampstaining to the bottom corners of the leaves in the rear quarter of the book with light soiling to a few other leaves. Good.

James Schouler [1839-1920] was an American lawyer and historian. His most important work was "History of the United States under the Constitution, 1789-1865 [7 volumes, 1880-1917]. The publishers of "Historical Briefs" state that the biography was prepared from "fresh and original materials provided by the author himself. Good .
