There is some staining to the title page with a tiny stain to the bottom edge of the last page. There is a small, light stain to page 2 & another to page 3. Very good.
The author contends that during the period 1852-1868, the expenditures of the Liberal administrations [under Lord Palmerston with Gladstone as Chancellor of the Exchequer], exceeded those of Conservative administrations, even allowing for the expenses of the Crimean War.
