Swiss author Jacques Chantier [1924-1979], born Jean-Claude Piguet,settled in Paris in 1948 and published his first works there. These early works were followed by more than twenty years of silence during which he never gave up on his vocation as a writer. At the end of this period he wrote the thirty-six poems which are collected in this volume.
