This is a vintage photograph distributed by the International News Photos Company at the time, with the their eagle logo on the verso. The text for a press release printed on a sheet of paper is stapled to the left of the photo.
The text for the press release which accompanies the image reads as follows: "UMT (H) - ARMED SERVICES Committee of the Senate has advocated Universal Military Training. Lyndon Johnson was later elected as Vice President under President John F. Kennedy. He assumed the Presidency upon the assassination of President Kennedy and was soon embroiled in the Vietnam conflict. Very good .
