The top edge is gilt. The binding is rubbed with the covers unevenly darkened & the corners chipped. The joints & spine are rubbed & slightly frayed & there is a chip to the bottom of the front joint. 412 deckle-edged pages, partially unopened. There is some foxing to the pastedowns & endpapers with a previous owner's ink name & date on the front endpaper. The top & front edges of the pages are darkened & the page corners are bumped. Good.
