"Aus dem Kroatischen ubersetzt und eingerichtet von Milo Dor". [Translated and adapted from the Croatian by Milo Dor]. There is an afterword by Leon Pierre-Quint.
Miroslav Krleza [1893-1981] was a leading Croatian writer, considered by many to be the greatest Croatian writer of the twentieth century. A fearless critic of social and political injustice, he was a poet, novelist and essayist as well as a playwright. His early plays were experimental expressionist pieces but he later moved on to more naturalistic work, influenced by the mature plays of Strindberg and Ibsen.
