Bound by Vermorel into natural cream vellum, titled with a device in gilt on the spine and tastefully decorated with triple gilt rules on the covers with a gilt geometric design adorning the bottom front corner of the front cover. The top edge is gilt and the endpapers marbled. The binding is slightly bowed and the vellum is slightly soiled and darkened with some minor rubbing. The original pictorial violet wraps are bound in. 134 & [5] pages, with text printed in black framed at the top and bottom by decorative violet borders. The decorations, including the decorated title page and illustrated chapter titles are designed by Munne. Very good.
