"This edition contains one hundred and fifty SIGNED and numbered records, not available elsewhere, of which this is number 28" -- So stated on the album cover.
The American symphonic and operatic composer William Schuman (1910-1992) was responsible for 8 symphonies, which he numbered three through ten (having withdrawn his first 2), his powerful concerto for violin, his compositions, the "New England Triptych", the "Geroge Washington Bridge" and the "American Festival Overture", the Ballets "Undertow" and "Judith" (which he wrote for Martha Graham) and his operas "The Mighty Casey" based on the baseball tale "Casey at the Bat" and "A Question of Taste". Very good .
