President-elect Hoover, here referred to as Mr. Hoover is assigned to the barge with his wife and his son Allan Hoover. Also present on the barge are his press secretary George Akerson, Mrs. Hoover's press secretary Ruth Fessler, W.F. McSwain and three U.S. Navy Commanders: H.H. Lane, A.T. Beauregard, and H.C. Train.

Elected in 1928, President-elect Herbert Hoover went on a trip to South America in December of 1928. This broadside is probably the landing assignments for that voyage.

George Akerson served as President Hoover's press secretary from 1929 to 1931. Fine .
