Author: Wolff, William; and Hoyem, Andrew. Title: Stranger.
Description: [San Francisco, CA: San Francisco Arts Festival, 1964]. 1964]. - sc A powerful 20 inch high by 13 inch wide broadside on fine white paper with Andrew Hoyem's 16-line poem handsomely printed in grayish olive at the top left of the bold evocative woodcut by William Wolff. The image simply, yet powerfully, depicts the dark stranger, walking stick in hand, attired in a simple white tunic. Signed in ink by the poet Andrew Hoyem and in pencil by the artist William Wolff along the bottom. There is some very minor foxing along the edges and a little light dampstaining to the bottom edge which touches on the artist's bold signature without affecting its legibility. Good.
